Ecopower 3.0 - the powerful one
The brushless drive motor from EcoPower is a powerful electric motor made in Australia. The electric outboard is very well designed – e.g. integrated voltmeter, undervoltage protection and temperature protection are extremely useful in practical use. The brushless motor drives the propeller through the contactless reversal of the polarity of the drive magnets. This guarantees higher energy efficiency and significantly lower wear. Even the smaller models from EcoPower are about as powerful as medium-sized models from other manufacturers – although they are significantly cheaper! This is noticeable at the latest with the next fresh breeze, when you have to maneuver quickly against the wind to reef.
The Ecopower 3.0 has similarly good consumption values as the 2.0 model, but convinces with its power. It unfolds its full potential in strong headwinds and waves, and this with measured max. 60A consumption:

* The runtime depends on the battery capacity as well as the risk of overheating, you should exhaust the specified runtime, especially at full speed. If the overheating protection is activated, the motor reduces the current consumption to 50% for safety reasons.

The engine is mounted on an inflatable boat. Propeller about 30cm underwater.
As the speed increases, the water really starts to "rage and bubble" as if it were a 200hp engine.
I have had much weaker electric motors so far. There was also water movement, which is normal, but not in this strength that it splashes into the boat. Of course, this also shows the energy of the engine. -
Since I bought both motors (first Haswing Protruar 5.0 with 24V, sold again) I would like to give a short feedback. The Ecopower is much quieter, much more economical and a whole lot better processed than the Haswing, I am very satisfied with it, I just haven't had the opportunity to test it in strong winds, but I'm very confident. -
Another China filth? On the contrary! In addition, the engine comes from Australia. I've had the engine for 3 years now and was able to test it extensively (mud, against wind with 6bft, escape from bad weather) and I'm completely satisfied with the purchase.

You need power against mud, I bought the Ecopower for it and am very satisfied with it!

I have had several sailboats as well as different engines, so I can make a good comparison. The older you get, the bigger the boats and the more powerful the engines. And all the well-known brands were there: Aquamot, Minn Kota and Torqeedo, and basically I was satisfied with all of them, but they are just lull sliders in the truest sense of the word, and that's all you usually need as a sailor. Since I always sell my boats including full equipment, but unfortunately there is not always an engine with the next purchase (always buy used boats), I had to look around for an outboard engine again this time. More or less by chance, I ended up in this shop, actually looking for one of the previous brands and then discovered the Ecopower. The technical data completely convinced me and therefore ordered. I have to admit that after the first test drive I was pleasantly surprised at what power this motor has, this is the first electric motor that I would not call a "lull" because it is much more powerful and you can drive considerable speeds, all respect! I've only been using the engine since this season and have sometimes driven longer distances with it, I'm completely satisfied with it.

My neighbor has had the Ecopower for 2 years and is very satisfied with it, was able to test it at the neighbor's and has completely convinced me, top product!
-
I am happy to recommend the electric outboard, because you won't find such power with so little consumption on the market, thank you for the competent advice!
-
I wanted to buy an electric motor from another manufacturer, but the operator changed my mind in a detailed consultation to buy the EcoPower, which he has also had on his own boat for several years. Saved a lot of money and highly satisfied! (Sailing yacht 36 feet)

It's not easy to find a strong outboard for larger sailing yachts (28 feet) and with 24V, if you look at it exactly, there is actually only one brand – until I found this shop. The engine should be quite new, at least in Austria I have never heard of it and was a bit skeptical. However, a call to the operator of the shop convinced me and after assembly from the first test drive, the last skepticism was gone.
