Stationary On-Board Chargers

The Minn Kota onboard chargers are equipped with two or three charging outputs. The special feature is that each charging output has its own ground line. Therefore, even batteries that are connected in series to 24V or 36V, for example, can also be charged without disconnecting the series connection.

They are intended for fixed mounting on a boat or caravan and are equipped with automatic 3-stage charging (current, voltage limitation and trickle charging). They are also resistant to water, shock, vibration and corrosion in salty air. They are also spark-proof, short-circuit and reverse polarity protected. Minn Kota's multi-stage charging profile automatically checks the charger's output voltage and current to charge your batteries faster and keep them safe during storage.

"The current-limited charging stage delivers a high voltage until the battery reaches ~75% of its charging capacity (14.4 V).
"In the voltage-limited stage, the voltage decreases to 13.5 V to keep the gas at a low level, while the battery absorbs the current in its own decreasing rhythm.
"The hold or hover stage reduces the output power of the charger when the battery is fully charged, keeping the voltage between 13.2 V and 13.5 volts and the current between 0.1 and 0.3 amps for short- or long-term battery storage.
