Basically, flange motors are positioned between the keel and the rudder. The engine should be closer to the keel than to the rudder. The reason for this is that turbulence occurs after the propeller and thus vibrations can be caused at the rudder. Furthermore, the engine is also off the keel in leeward water and thus has a lower towing resistance. In addition, flange motors are to be arranged parallel to the waterline. For this purpose, Aquamot offers custom-made compensation wedges, which are also vibration and vibration damping.

The drive package of the electric flange motor includes everything, except the batteries and the charger. From the highly efficient engine including fixed propeller, on-board computer to drive switch and on/off switch, everything is included. As an option, a folding propeller to reduce drag resistance and a custom-made compensation wedge can be purchased to facilitate assembly.
