Aquamot Trend 1.6FM with Li-ion battery and charger

These engine models are especially suitable for sailboats as calm sliders, but also for smaller motorboats. In order to have sufficient reserves against wind and waves, we recommend the Trend 1.6 for boats up to 1.8 tons, depending on the hull shape.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

With a drive package from Trend 1.6, you are basically ready to go. From the highly efficient engine including fixed propeller, on-board computer and drive switch to lithium high-performance battery, charger, on/off switch & anode, everything is included. As an option, a folding propeller to reduce drag resistance and a custom-made compensation wedge can be purchased to facilitate assembly.

HOW TO PLACE FLANGE MOTORS

Basically, flange motors are positioned between the keel and the rudder. The engine is supposed to be closer to the keel than to the rudder. The reason for this is that turbulence occurs after the propeller and thus vibrations can be caused at the rudder. Furthermore, the engine is also off the keel in leeward water and thus has a lower towing resistance. In addition, flange motors are to be arranged parallel to the waterline. For this purpose, Aquamot offers custom-made compensation wedges, which are also vibration and vibration damping.
