Range and speed information
When displacing on the water, the required propulsion power increases with the third power of speed. This means that if you want to double your speed, you need eight times the power.
On the other hand, even a small reduction in speed can significantly increase the achievable range.
The on-board computer of the Torqeedo Ultralight constantly calculates the remaining range and links the consumption data of the engine with the charge level of the batteries and the speed over ground from the GPS. For example, the remaining range can be read in real time from the motor display and the TorqTrac smartphone app.

To compare Torqeedo static thrusts with conventional fishing engines, about 50% can be added to the Torqeedo stationary thrust specification.
